The video that spreads broadly on social media shows two Pakistani journalists – Safina Khan and Assad Ali Malik – throwing abuse in Eatery in London. Khan claimed that Malik, along with other Ary News and Hum News, came to her and “threatened”.
Khan, who works in Neo News and serves as the Secretary -General of the Pakistani press club in London, also shared alleged video indicating the British police and claimed to have been harassed. A London journalist also said that if something was to happen, Ary News reporter and Hum News Rafeeq should be responsible.
The alleged incident occurred during the media coverage of the Secretary General of Pakistan Tehreek-E-insf (PTI) Salman Akram Raja. In my post for X, Khan wrote: “During the coverage of Salman Akram Raja I was annoyed and abused @Mohsinnaqvic42 TV London reporter Assad Malik, joined by @arynewsofficial reporter, and @hulduws_urdu @humnuwspakstan reporter.”
In the next tweet Khan claimed that Naqvi and others abused the mother of Senator Azhar Javed, and when she intervened, they also began to abuse her. “I have heard that someone’s mother was abused – not for herself. There was nothing like an honor among these shameless men. The one who abused the mother of the Senator Journalist Azhar, who sat down. She published in Urda.
Malik replied to Khan’s accusation and denied the claims as “unfounded”. He also shared videos allegedly showing khana using an abusing language. “These are false and unfounded accusations, in accordance with its pattern of past behavior. The facts are clear and supported by several eyewitnesses,” he said in the paper.
The exact reason for the quarrel remains unknown. Khan, known for the production of anti-Indian statements, recently triggered controversy by showing disrespect for Indian tricolor outside the Indian High Commission in London. This incident occurred during the protest Pro-Khalistan against Indian sanctions on Pakistan after the terrorist attack of Pahalgam.
