Following the tragic mass shooting incident at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, a video has surfaced on social media showing a man trying to disarm one of the gunmen.
The footage emerged as 12 people were killed and around a dozen others wounded when gunmen opened fire during a Jewish holiday event at Sydney’s Bondi Beach on Sunday, December 14, Reuters reported, citing Australian officials.
A video posted by Spectator Index on X showed a bystander running up to the gunman, grabbing him by the arms and firing several shots at the perpetrator.
Livemint could not independently verify the footage to see if the footage was from the Bondi Beach incident.

Bondi Beach mass shooting
New South Wales police said two people had been taken into custody, while the Australian Broadcasting Corp said at least one of the gunmen was among those killed.
About a dozen people were taken to local hospitals after the shooting, Reuters quoted a New South Wales ambulance spokesman as saying.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese described the incident as “shocking and worrying” and said “emergency services are on the ground working to save lives”.
Allegations of attacking Jews
Some even claimed that the mass shooting incident was a targeted attack on Jews.
Israeli President Isaac Herzog said that Jewish individuals who went to light the first Hanukkah candle on the beach were attacked by “vile terrorists”.
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar expressed deep shock and concern over the shooting.
“These are the results of the anti-Semitic rampage on the streets of Australia over the past two years, with the anti-Semitic and inflammatory calls to ‘Globalise the Intifada’ made today,” Saar news portal quoted him as saying.
Bondi Beach is one of the most famous beaches in the world, which is typically crowded with locals and tourists, especially on weekend evenings.
“If we were to be targeted like this, it’s something on a scale that none of us could ever fathom. It’s a terrible thing,” Alex Ryvchin, co-chairman of the Executive Council of Australian Jewry, told Sky News.
