The ‘Old Changanassery Heritage Walk’ organized jointly by DHARINNI Ecology and Heritage Trust and Kerala Pradeshika Charithra Padana Samithi will be held on Saturday. The walk will start at 7.30 am from Puzhavath Vettadikkavu in Changanassery, Kottayam.
The route will cover Kumaramanagalathu Mana, Lakshmipuram Palace, Santhana Gopalamurthy Temple, Ittiyamadom, Menon Veedu, Kavil Bhagavathi Temple, Chitrakkulam, Old Juma Masjid, St. Mary’s Metropolitan Church, Angadi and end at Anchu Vilakku. These places have been designed to reflect the history of Changanassery with an emphasis on the era of the former Thekkumkoor Kingdom. For more details contact: 9605645482.
