YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, claiming that the state budget for 2026-27 is a “pack of lies” and accusing him of covering up irregularities in the supply of adulterated ghee.

Addressing the media at the party office on Thursday, Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy said “the link between Heritage Foods and Indapur Foods has been exposed” after evidence of inflated contracts and lifting of disqualifications emerged.

He alleged that once Indapur’s name came to light, Heritage changed its status from a manufacturing unit to a co-manufacturing unit and awarded a contract to supply ghee at ₹650 per kg, despite earlier supplies at significantly lower prices. He further claimed that during the TDP regime, rejected ghee tankers were accepted and favored firms were reinstated.

Referring to the Tirupati laddu controversy, the YSRCP president alleged that the irregularities were rooted in decisions taken during Mr. Naidu’s tenure, citing “references in the CBI chargesheet”. He accused the chief minister of “dragging God into politics” to divert attention.

On the budget, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the revenue and expenditure estimates do not match, arguing that inflated growth projections are not reflected in per capita income or living standards. He alleged that allocations for social security schemes were inadequate and the number of beneficiaries was decreasing, citing “decline in pensioners” and cuts in schemes such as fee refund, Aarogyasri and farmer support initiatives.

He blamed fiscal mismanagement and mounting debt and claimed the coalition government had failed to keep its campaign promises.
