The main Minister Jharkhand Hemant Soren (June 17, 2025) met the family members of the martyr Constable Sunil Dhan and provided financial assistance of 2.66 GBP Crore.
12th April, during a special raid against Maoists in a dense forest in the Chotanagra police station in the West Singhbhum district, Constable Sunil Dhan – was seriously injured in the IED in the West Singhbhum district. He was transported by air for better treatment, but succumbed to his injury 12 April.
Mr. Soren handed over the check for 1.20 GBP, issued under the police salary of the State Bank, to family members of Dhana, while the home department attributed the amount of 1.46 Crore to the Dhan’s bank accounts.

The late constable family visited Mr. Soren in the residential office of the main Minister on Kanke Road, Ranchi. When the main minister asked about the situation of the family, he claimed that the state government would always stand with the family.
Dhan’s mother Fagni Uraain, 65, wife of Gandari Dhan, 29 and two Priyansh Dhan, 5 and Aniket Dhan, 3, 3 and other relatives were present for interaction.
“Constable Sunil Dhan gave it his highest sacrifice while serving the state’s people, and we all greet his martyrdom. Our government deeply understands the martyr’s family and Jharkhand will always be indebted to his martyrs,” Soren said.
Mr. Soren asked the family to give Dhan’s good education and inform her wife that she could get government work on compassionate reasons, if she wanted it, under the establishments of the state government.
“Scroll forward with courage and patience, the government is with you. The government will always stand with you in your happiness and sadness,” Mr. Soren told Pugor’s wife.

Mr. Soren ordered officials to provide all the benefits of the martyr’s family as soon as possible, in addition to their enrollment in other benefits, including the retirement offered by the state government.
Officials reported Mr. Soren that the pension -related process was completed and the family would start to receive the amount of pension from next month.
The Minister of Minister’s Minister Vandan Dadel, Dig Jharkhand Jaguar Indrajeet Mahatha and other higher officials were also present.
