US President Donald Trump has given Iran a “48-hour” ultimatum, calling on the country to make a deal or open the Strait of Hormuz.
In TRUTH’s latest social media post, Trump reminded the Islamic Republic of the warning he issued ten days ago. “Remember when I gave Iran ten days to DO THE DEAL or OPEN THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ,” he said.
Trump threatened Iran that “time is running out”.
He added: “48 hours before all hell breaks loose on them. Praise God! President DONALD J. TRUMP”
On March 27, Trump announced that he was extending the pause in attacks on Iran’s energy infrastructure by another 10 days, until Monday, April 6, 2026, as part of ongoing diplomatic negotiations between the two sides.
He claimed that the announcement comes at the “request” of the Iranian government.
Trump’s March 27 social media comments read: “At the request of the Government of Iran, let this statement serve as a statement that I am suspending the period of destruction of the energy plant for 10 days until Monday, April 6, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time.”

“Talks are ongoing and despite false statements to the contrary by the Fake News Media and others are going very well. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” he said.
It was a follow-up to Trump’s warning to Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump earlier ordered the US War Department to delay any military action against Iran’s power plants and energy sites for five days, citing ongoing diplomatic negotiations with Tehran amid escalating tensions in West Asia.

Earlier, he issued a warning to Tehran, giving it 48 hours to open the strategically important Strait of Hormuz or face possible attacks on its energy facilities.
His latest 48-hour ultimatum is a reminder of his 10-day deadline given to Tehran on March 27.
US-Iran War
The war between the US, Israel and Iran erupted more than a month ago with US-Israeli attacks on Iran, sparking retaliation that has spread the conflict across the Middle East and rocked the global economy – notably over the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, a vital oil and gas pipeline.
Tehran said on Friday it had shot down the F-15 warplane, and US media reported that US special forces had rescued one of its two crew members, with the other still missing.

Iran’s military also said it shot down a US A-10 ground attack aircraft in the Persian Gulf, with US media reporting the plane’s pilot was rescued.
The US military continued a frantic search for a missing pilot over a remote area of Iran on Saturday, a day after the Islamic Republic shot down a US warplane and promised a reward for the pilot’s surrender.

Meanwhile, the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran said an airstrike struck near its Bushehr nuclear facility, killing a security guard and damaging a support building.
This is the fourth time the facility has been targeted. The head of Russia’s state nuclear corporation Rosatom said 198 workers had been evacuated.
