
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy warning of very heavy rainfall for several countries across the country in the latest weather update.
“A heavy to very heavy rainfall activity, which is likely to continue in many parts of the northwest, middle, eastern and northeast India over the next seven days,” IMD said in a statement.

In the southern states, isolated heavy rainfall between June 27 and 3 July above Tamil Nadu, Coast Karnataka, the southern interior of Karnataka, Telangana and Keraral.
IMD released a strong warning for fish to avoid hallmarking into the sea along the Gujarate coast, the whole coast of Konkan, the coast of the North Konan and the Goa-Karnataka coast and Keral from June 27 to July 2.
Similarly, fishermen are advised not to go to international waters during this period, including Somali coast, neighboring sea areas, Oman and Yemen, the Middle and North Arab Sea and most parts of the Northern Arab Sea.
From June 27 to July 2, fishermen should also avoid the western central, eastern central and southwestern Gulf of Bengal and the coast along the northern Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Northern Tamil Nadu and West Bengal.
