The constant downpour in the area of Mallada threw life out of the equipment, triggered landslides and disrupted the movement of traffic on the main roads.
The landslide in Doddathapale, near Sakleshpur, affected the movement of the vehicle on the NH-75, connecting Bengalur and Mangaluru on Monday evening. Between Sakleshpur and Shiradi Ghat, many vehicles were stuck when the road was filled with debris.
Police staff and officials of the National Motorway Office of India cleaned the debris and the operation was renewed on Tuesday morning. However, the path between Sakleshpur and Gundi, including Shiradi Ghat Stretch, was vulnerable to landslides, and travelers faced difficulties in the section during the rain.
The movement of vehicles on Agumbe Ghat, which connects Shivamogg with the UDUP district, was disturbed after the tree fell on the first curve. The vehicles were stuck in operation for hours before the road was cleaned.
Similarly, hulikal Ghat travelers connecting Hosanagar with the UDUP district had trouble after the truck developed a rack and stuck on a deep curve on Monday evening. The movement of vehicles was restored in the morning.
On Tuesday, Tarikere Taluk was damaged in Tarikere Taluk after a tree fell on Kallathagiri near Lingadahalli. No one was injured in the incident.
Many parts of the Malnad region received mild to heavy rains on Tuesday. The rain meter in Sulagod in Hosanagara recorded 132 mm precipitation at the 24 -hour end at 8:30 in the morning, the highest in the district of Shivamogg.
In the Hassan district, the Sakleshpur Taluk has seen heavy rain. Hanbal Hobli received 77.9 pm collisions and Hettur Hobli recorded 88.6 mm. The Chikkagagalarur district received an average of 27.5 pm Rainfal against a normal 14.7 mm. Srlingiri Taluk recorded the highest run of 74.3 mm.
The tide into the tanks was on the rise of heavy rains in the Mallad area. The water level in the Linganmakki tank in Sagar Taluk increased by three feet in 24 hours and the live capacity increased by almost 4 TMCFT.
The water level in the tank was on Tuesday at 8 am 1769.7 ft. On Monday it was 1 766.4. Live capacity on Tuesday was 39.15 TMCFT. (25.82%), compared to the previous day 35.01 TMC.
The complete tank level is 1,819 ft. And the total live capacity of the tank is 151.64 TMCFT. On Tuesday morning the tide was 50 576 CUSECS.
