Heavy rains, accompanied by a strong wind, on Tuesday evening fastened the Mysur and brought much necessary relief from the burning heat. But the downpour also left a trail of destruction because it overthrew many trees and damaged some electric poles.
The rain, which started around 20:30, caught the inhabitants out of sight. Motorists were imprisoned on water -closed roads, while thunder and lightning were reinforced. Several areas, including Vontikopal, JL Puram and Gokulam, reported incidents of the fall of branches and trees that have been uprooted, leading to blocked roads and lingering power lines. Some electric poles were also damaged during the process.

In Doddamaragowdanahalli, a huge Banyan tree was uprooted due to rain and fell on the nearby mango trees loaded with fruit and damaged them.
