Health security of employees is a priority of the government: Bhatti

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said there will be no compromise in the implementation of the Employee Health Scheme (EHS).
He said at a high-level review meeting of the EHS board members on Sunday that 354 private hospitals have already been included in the EHS while some other hospitals have been included through the deempanelment system. He directed the officials to hold meetings with the hospital management and ensure that the system is effectively implemented.
He also instructed officials to speed up the issuance of health cards and warned senior officers against careless handling of the welfare system for employees. He claimed that successive governments have failed to solve the problems of employees for almost a decade.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju, JAD Special Chief Secretary Mahesh Dutt Ekka, Health and Medical Principal Secretary Christina, Home Secretary Mogita Rana, EHS Director General Hanumanthu, employee union leaders and other officials.
