Union Health Minister JP Nadda inaugurated the 10th anniversary celebrations of AMRIT Pharmacy (Affordable Medicines and Reliable Treatment Implants) at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Saturday (November 15, 2025).
AMRIT Pharmacies provide life saving and essential medicines at discounts ranging from 50% to 90%.
“Jan Aushadhi and AMRIT were created – both were designed to supply medicines and medical supplies at affordable prices,” the minister said.
He added that the next task is to ensure that every medical college and every district hospital in India is equipped with AMRIT pharmacies.
On the occasion, the Minister inaugurated 10 new branches of AMRIT across India.
