A five-day extensive extensive health camp was organized in the CSIR-CFTR in CSIR-CFTR. The CSIR Health CoHort project is a multi -institutional, five -year project covering all CSIR laborators. This project is carried out at a national level to develop clinically useful prediction of personalized risks for various portable and non -transferable diseases.
More than 10,000 CSIR employees, including pensioners and their spouses, have been identified as subjects for this project.
The project CSIR Fenome India Health CoHort Project – Phase II, began during 2022 and the first phase of the project was completed in February 2023 for CSIR -cftri. Those who registered this project have largely undergone phlebotomy, including for CBC panel, liver function test and kidney function test. The collected blood sample is analyzed on detailed biochemical markers, as well as the OMICS investigation, including genomic, proteomics, metabolomics, cytokine profile and telometer length measurement.
In addition, imaging and scanning was performed by spirometry, ECG, body composition, liver scanning and oscillometry, etc. All samples obtained from the entire CSIR laboratory will be stored on CSIR Biobank in CSIR-IGIB, DELHI, in strict anonymite protocol, press releases.
In this study, it will perform extensive cohorts in all 40 CSIR laboratories extended across the country as a national source for identifying genetic, biochemical and life risk factors. The obtained data will be analyzed through AI and machine learning approaches for the development of precise health care.
The project coordinates Shantan Sengupt, the main scientist, CSIR-IGIB, Delhi. Like the previous year, almost 300 participants went in Tábor this year. The Tábor in Majur was inaugurated with Bhaskar Narayan, the director (additional fee), CSIR-CFTRI, in the presence of Prakash M. Halami and Muthukumar SP, who coordinate the project at the institutional level.
The second phase of the test camp had a specific health and nutritional questionnaire on food frequency, performed by Madras Diabetes Research Foundation.
Due to the consumption of highly processed food, there is a significant increase in lifestyle disorders. Healthy aging is also one of the important programs that are recorded among older citizens. Therefore, more pensioners participated in this phase. In this context, the project III of the project, which will be held in mid -2026, is expected to enroll entities, said Mr. Halmi.
