The tanks of the Agricultural Wing of Congress on Monday organized a protest in Prakasam Bhavan in Ongola. They asked the state government to ensure adequate supply of fertilizers immediately in MRP and in the required quantity.
Congress chairman Kisan K. Subba Rao, who accused the artificial lack of urea, said: “Farmers throughout the district and the state have been facing problems in the last three months due to lack of sufficient urea for crop cultivation.”
“While the cost of subsidized urea is 266 GBP for 50 kg of bags, sellers sell it for 400-500 ₹.
