The former Indian test and captain T20i Rohit Sharma revealed the reaction of his father after announcing his departure from the test cricket.“He appreciates the cricket with a red ball a lot, and of course he was a little disappointed when I announced my retirement, but was also happy at the same time,” Rohit said at the opening of Pujar’s book Puja “Diary of the Criketer’s Wife” on Thursday.Rohit remembered the fighting of their parents to support their career.“Since the day I was born, my mother and father’s support was huge. I know the victims they have done for me and my brother to do what we had to do in our lives.”

“But when you sit down and think about it, you really appreciate what your parents are going through. When you’re at that age, you don’t realize, but now that I sit down and think about it, you understand.Rohit further explained how his father was involved in his cricket and his obsession with a test cricket.“He worked in a transport company. My father was very involved in sacrificing things, so you know, we can have our lives,” Rohit said.“My father has always been a fans of the test cricket since the first day; he doesn’t like this cricket of a new age.“I still remember the day when I scored 264 in ODI, he was like,” Okay, well played, well. “It wasn’t such an excitement of him that it was a world record and it was all.

“But even though I got a good 30 or 40 years in the test cricket.“Obviously he saw me go rows. You play cricket groups, then go to the U-19, and then you go to the ranji Trophy, Duleep Trophy, Irani Trophy, India and I did it all.“I got to the Indian team, played a cricket with a red ball, not so much cricket of a white ball, but so the team chose.“You’re doing well in the cricket of the red ball that day and you will find yourself the first in the ODI cricket and then into the test cricket. Now it’s another story. So my father saw me playing a lot of cricket with a red ball.“This is my father and apparently played a huge role where I know today, without their help,” he said.
