“Stuart didn’t appreciate my gesture after Yuvraj Singh hit him for six sixes,” Chris Broad told Telegraph.co.uk.“I had Yuvraj sign an Indian shirt and gave it to him for Christmas. Apparently he opened the gift, saw it and threw it in the bin.“I think his sense of humor went a little off after that.Chris Broad also shared how Stuart once tried to threaten legal action when he was fined for swearing – by his own father.“We played him a recording,” Chris said. “There was hook, line and sinker – no question. But Stuart said, ‘No, no, no, I’m going to get my lawyers involved. This is ridiculous.’ I said, ‘Come on, stop it. Just sign the slip, it’s only 15 percent of your match fee.”

What do you think of Stuart Broad’s reaction to his Christmas present?
“No, no, I won’t. No, no.” He felt that because it was me, I could change it—because I was his father, not his referee. But no.“Eventually he accepted it, but bless him, he’s still at it. He’ll get over it…eventually.”
