Eyewitnesses who were present during the attack described the scenes of panic, chaos and fear when the suspect moved different parts of the trade and accidentally stabbed people with a folding knife.

“Me and my sister are working there. The whole shop started screaming and running,” said Tasha Nash, employee Walmart Channel 2. “There was a man with a knife – stabbing six people. I saw someone stabbing someone.”
The incident developed around 16:45 local time. The emergency services rushed to the scene in minutes, as well as Sheriff’s representative who helped the suspect arrest. Several customers also hit to reduce the attacker and manage first aid to victims, said the Sheriff’s Grand Traverse County office.
There were several streets of stores, including products and food sections.
One witness, Amber Paull, described that the attacker saw shoppers without warning.

According to other eyewitnesses, Kathryn Ann Clark was the son of her friend and another shopper who helped conquer the suspect before the arrival of the police.

Sheriff Michael Shea called it a deeply disturbing incident. “Eleven has 11 too many, but thank God it wasn’t more,” he told reporters on the scene.
Local enforcement of law confirmed that no shots were fired during the attack. The area around Walmart and Crossing Circle was closed briefly and the public was invited to avoid it because the forensic teams processed the crime scene. The authorities also began to talk to employees and customers who have witnessed the attack.
Walmart issued a statement shortly after the incident:
“Violence like this is unacceptable. Our thoughts are with those who have been injured, and we are grateful for the rapid action of the first respondents.”
The FBI also helps in the investigation.
Officials have not yet published the identity of the suspect or any possible motive.
