The Minister of Cabinet Punjab Sanjeev ARORA wrote to the Union’s government, which urged an interference with a matter related to frozen work visas for foreign truck drivers, especially Punjabis, with the United States government.
In his letter sent on Saturday, the arra mentioned that the step that the US government would take after an accident on the Florida highway, which included pandjaby drivers, threatened the living of 1.5 lakh pandjab drivers.
He appealed to the Minister of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy to start a dialogue with the US government and state that the entire community of Pandjabs is punished on the basis of one incident.
Previously, Shiromanian Akali gave Bathinda, Harsimrat Kaur Badal, urged the Minister of External Affairs with Jaishankar to ensure that the attitude of the advisors would be provided to Harjinder so that his case could be reasonably asked.
Badal also urged the center to take the question of freezing the work visas of all foreign truck drivers after a fatal accident.
It also urged the Jaishankar to tell the US government that the Pandjab community played a crucial role in satisfying the high demand for drivers and alleviating the driver’s deficiency to the US consumers and its economy.

Meanwhile, the petition on the online platform Change.org was created by a group – collective Punjabi Youth, which called for a reduced punishment for Harjinder and claimed that a tragic accident was not a deliberate act.

The older village also urged the US government to show lenience towards Harjinder. “It was his bad luck that such an accident occurred,” he said.
Another village said Harjinder did not intentionally. The accident is running out, he said.
Although it was his fault to make a turn, he should not be given any rough punishment; Otherwise, his whole life would have been destroyed, he said.
