“The numbers tell us that Varun Chakaravarthy is the world’s No. 1 bowler in T20. He is more valuable than even Bumrah. Whenever the runs flow in the over or the middle overs or even in the 18th over, Varun is the bowler. He has taken his game to another level. But he got a chance initially when he came back and after he got his fitness he was brilliant. he took his game to the next level level,” Badrinath told Star Sports. “He is a huge asset for India, a weapon in fact. Going forward, in the T20 World Cup in India, he will be the most important factor. If Varun has a good day, there is a good chance that the Indian team will also have a good day.”Chakaravarthy’s journey in international cricket started with his T20I debut in India in 2021. However, he was dropped from the team after a disappointing performance in the T20 World Cup 2021.His return to the national side came last year after an impressive showing in IPL 2024.
