Holi festival was celebrated with gusto in parts of Belagavi on Tuesday. Some districts will celebrate it on Thursday.
Small children were on the street since morning. However, most of the students who took the PU exams stayed home.
A large number of devotees organized an Urulu Seve in front of the Sri Ashwathama Temple at Pangul Galli in the Old City. The Kam Dahan rituals, which began on Monday evening, continued even after midnight on Tuesday.

A large number of women and girls participated in Holi Milan organized by Abhay Patil Foundation headed by MLA Abhay Patil.
The celebrations started with Lavani song and dance. The crowd, including young and old, male and female, danced to songs from Kannada, Hindi and Marathi films till late afternoon.
Holi celebrations and rain dance were organized at Belagavi Club Road.
Police restricted traffic in Old City areas like Pangul Galli, Risaldar Galli, Khadak Galli and surrounding areas.
