The Kerala High Court ordered the Ceral (KERAL) regulation commission to perform public hearing in different parts of the State in a hybrid regime instead of an online hearing, as part of the revision of renewable energy regulations.
The bench of the main judge Nitin Jamdar and Justice Basant Balaji said that the committee should complete the place and time after taking into account aspects such as the availability and comfort of the participants.
The court listened to the litigation of public interest filed by the domestic forum of solar energy consumers in the Kerala network, which was looking for hearing in a hybrid regime. The Commission claimed that it was facing problems with law and order when the hearing was in the physical regime. In addition, the court stated that if necessary, the deployment of police staff can be found.
