Justice NV Shravan Kumar of the Telangana High Court on Thursday stayed the memorandum issued by the Chief Secretary the previous day that allowed ticket hike for Telugu film Akhanda-2.
The judge passed the order in a series of three writ petitions challenging the state government’s decision to allow a hike in ticket prices for a film slated to release on Friday. The arbitrator ordered CS to communicate the HC order to all concerned persons.
The bench also directed the authorities to ensure that tickets are not sold at inflated prices.
