The Kerala High Court sought the deportation documents of Bengaluru resident Suraj Lama, who was missing from Kochi since October 10 after being deported from Kuwait.
A bench of Justice Devan Ramachandran and Justice MB Snehalatha passed the order while considering a habeas corpus petition filed by Santon Lama, son of the missing person. He also required a certified translation of the deportation documents, if they were in a foreign language.
The matter was brought up for hearing on Monday.
The court was earlier looking into the details of the protocol that should be followed when people deported from abroad return to India.
