HC rejects former minister’s application for security cover

The Telangana High Court on Friday dismissed a plea filed by former minister Jalagam Prasad Rao seeking a direction to reinstate the security cover recently withdrawn from him by the state government.

Justice T. Madhavi Devi of the HC said the withdrawal of security was an administrative measure taken by the government after considering all aspects of the demand for security cover against the petitioner. The court was not inclined to interfere with the government order in this matter, the order said.
