The High Court in Kerala expanded its previous order, which directed that the status quo would be maintained with regard to Keral University University of Digital Sciences, Innovation and Technology and APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University within 6 June.
The Provisional Order came up with the Chancellor and Vice-Chairman, which questioned the verdict of a single bench that decided that the appointment of V-CS alien Thomas (Digital University) and K. Sivaprasad (Technology University) was not in accordance with the law.
The Chancellor stated in his appeal that the Supreme Court recognized the independent authority of the Chancellor in the appointment of the Vice -Chair. He also claimed that the requirement of the recommendation of the State Government according to university acts was contrary to the UGC regulations in 2018. He also claimed that the six -month tennitus limit was only related to university acts and that the introduction could continue until regular appointment was performed.
