
The State Electrical Council (KSEB) has hung a financial loss due to damage to electrical installations caused by heavy rain and wind at 86.67 crore. According to the latest update, 2,317 high voltage posts and 14,047 low voltage posts were destroyed in extreme weather, the energy tool said on Wednesday. The power outages hit just over 46.12 Lakh consumers throughout the state. The offer was restored to 40.05 lakh consumers.
The latest KSEB update is governed by an inspection meeting convened by the Minister of Electricity K. Krishnankukutty on Tuesday. Largescale damage was mostly caused by uprooted trees and broken branches by lowering under the head of power lines and electric columns. The KSEB was asked to complete the repairs at the war base.
At Tuesday’s meeting Mr. Krishhnanku, he ordered the main secretary to issue instructions to district collectors to ensure that the fallen trees were removed, and take steps to reduce trees that pose a risk. The KSEB was also directed to the supplies of electric columns, cables, solar mesh meters, transformers and the main ring main units (RMU) in reasonable numbers.
In order to balance the lack of employees in certain units, they will be included in the teams as a temporary measure.
