
Member of Hassan Lok Sabha Shreyas M. Patel met with Minister for the Environment, Forests and Climate Change of Bhupendra Yadav in Delhi and urged him to restore the elephant corridor to end the human conflict in the Hassan district.
In his memorandum of the Minister of the Union, Mr. Patel said that 412 Hettur Hoblic farmers in Sakleshpur Taluk from Hassan voluntarily applied to divide with 2,261.21 acres of land to restore the ivory corridor. The Hassan District Administration has prepared a detailed report on this project after organizing meetings with local farmers.
Farmers Arani (55 farmers, 361.13 acres), Boranamane (62 farmers, 406.19 acres), Balehallo, (46 farmers, 272 acres), Bettakumari (62 farmers, 218.37 hectares), Mankanahalli (101 pharmists, 578.25 acres), Yattists (85 acres (85 acres) 369.17 acres) and Bajimane (five farmers, 48 hectares) gave consent to giving up his land. Understanding the urgency of mitigating the conflict in the region should sign up to take the country from farmers and restore the hallway, Patel said.
The center should assign funds to the project and better use the gesture of farmers. Many people died in the Hassan district for a human-slon conflict. People demanded a permanent solution to the problem.
