The Minister of Income Krishna Byre Gowda, who is also the Minister of Responsibility for the Hassan district, appealed to the devotees who plan to visit the Hasanamba Temple to plan their visits before 18 October to avoid rush in the coming weekend.
When the festival ends at Ocotber 23, it is expected that a large number of people will visit the temple in the last few days. In order to avoid inconveniences in recent days, the Minister recalled the devotees in the video statement to plan their visit well in advance. “It would be useful for administration and also for devotees if they visited October 18,” he said.
On Monday, on the fourth day since the devotees could visit the day, hundreds of people in the queue were stood early in the morning for Darshanu Deities. The temple was closed between 14:30 and 15:30 for rituals in Sanctum Sanctorum.
Former minister and older leader JD (s) HD Revan, his wife Bhavani was among those who visited the temple on the day. The District Administration took special measures to transport the VIP from the inspection bungalow in separate vehicles. Mr. Revanna, however, arrived at the entrance of his private vehicle. When his vehicle stopped, they met his wife inside the premises. They entered the temple by purchasing special entry tickets worth £ 1,000.
The Hassan deputy Commissioner KS Lathakumari visited the temple standing in the queue designed for ordinary devotees. She interact with the devotees and asked the measures taken by the district administration.
Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar are expected to visit the temple on Wednesday 15 October.
