(PTI Photo/Shahbaz Khan) Former Captain India and a member of the 1983 winning team of Kris Srikkanth lamented over the head coach Super Giants (LSG) Justin Langer and Mentor Zheer Khan for poor treatment of Rishabh Pant in the ongoing Premier League (IPL).
The captain of LSG Rishabh Pant, who was acquired by Lucknow for 27 Crore, managed only 110 runs in 10 trips.
“I didn’t understand. Why did he come to the bat for only two balls?” Srikkanth said on his show YouTube Cheeky Cheeka.
“What is Langer trying to do? What does the team’s leadership try? What is the ZAREER KHAN trying to do?”
In the last LSG game against Delhi Capitals, Rishabh came to the bat on number 7, with two balls in the shifts. The hinge was released from the last ball of the shifts and could not score any run.

Do you think Rishabh Pant was supposed to burn above?
“I don’t know. Some people say Rishabh Pant wanted to go to the bat, but they didn’t allow him,” Sikkanth said.
“But he’s a captain. Why should he need to permit someone inwards? At the end of the day, it is a team management decision.”
Former Captain India Anil Kumble also challenged the batting of pants so low order.
Who is the IPL player?
“It’s okay if you wanted to burn freely under less pressure when they came late, but it was too late,” Kumble said about Jiocinema.
“The type of frustration Rishabh shows that he was obvious that he was damaged. He probably wanted to bat higher.
“Was it his decision? Or was it coach Justin Langer, or maybe mentor Zheer Khan? Whose decision? Because he looked very frustrated,” Kumble said.
LSG will take over Punjab Kings at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Association, Dharamshala.
