In his first public comments about the IPS officer’s death, Chief Minister Haryana Nayab Singh Saini assured Saturday (October 11, 2025) that they would get justice.

He also said that he spoke to the wife of the deceased, Indian administrative service (IAS) officer Amneet P. Kumar.
“We are also in contact with the Center for solving this problem,” he said.
Mr. Saini asked opposition parties not to affect politics on this issue. If the deceased family feels that there was injustice with her, we “arrange justice,” he said.
“The family gets justice,” the main minister said.
Mr. Saini, who describes the death of Puran Kumar as unfortunate, said he asked two officers to accompany the wife of the deceased on his way back to India from Japan after being informed of her husband’s demise.
Amneet Kumar was part of a delegation led by Mr. Saini on a three -day tour of Japan when her husband ended up in Chandigarh.
She claimed that her husband’s death was the result of “systematic persecution” of high -ranking officers.
Upon arrival from Japan, Mr. Saini met Amneet Kumar in Chandigarh to express his condolences.
Police in Chandigarh registered companies on Thursday (October 9, 2025) for accusations of suicide and according to the provisions of the planned caste and planned tribes (atrocity prevention) based on the “final remark” of the deceased official.
