Addressing a press conference in Chandigarh, he said, “This move to empower women is not just a government plan, it is a shining example of transparent policy and honest intent of a twin-engine government committed to social transformation.”
The Chief Minister added that the BJP government is working to protect the rights of disadvantaged castes and ensure their participation in government functions, panchayat elections and local body elections. The government has also introduced various schemes for the welfare of backward classes and economically weaker sections, he said.
Mr. Saini said that the present government has made unprecedented progress in youth employment and provided 3,00,000 youth with government job opportunities in the last 11 years in a completely transparent manner.
“The state government is focusing on both education and skill development of the youth in line with the new national education policy. A robust ‘Ease of Doing Business’ ecosystem has been created to accelerate industrial growth,” he added.
