JK Rowling, author of the Harry Potter book series, approved a new cast of Harry Potter for the HBO TV series and said that the young trio that will now play Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley are “amazing”.
HBO officially announced that Dominic McLaughlin will play the iconic role of Harry Potter, Arabell Stanton will play smart and brave Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout will play Ron Weasley, Harry’s faithful best friend.
Rowling responded to Potterhead, Harry Potter’s fan, he said, “All three are amazing. I couldn’t be happier.”

Especially things went south between Rowling and Harry Potter’s original stars – Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, after the author’s transfobble comments became viral. Most of the fans were excited to see Harry Potter’s new cast. However, several of them were disappointed with the cast of Hermione Granger and Snape.
“Please say Dominic, Arabella and Alistair that they are already loved by fandom and we can’t wait to see the show! We wish them all the best and that they have a magical time,” the fan said.
Another one added: “It’s not bad at all. Good luck everyone and you enjoy doing it for the new generation of Potterheads.”
“She looks great, I’m looking forward to it, I’m sure they’ll be great,” another fan said.

He stressed the fans that Arabella, a young girl who will play Hermione in the HBO series, corresponds to the character’s description in the books. “My friend, it’s not bad. I like the cast. They look right. Even the girl has Emma Watson’s teeth, but Hermione should have.”
“After improper exposure to Snape, I don’t have the belief that they will be redeemed,” the disappointed fan said.
“They do not deserve all the hatred they will probably get, because the terrible cast of Snape … it will fall as people do not get it,” the fan added.

However, some fans were generally satisfied with the remake and said, “Many Potter fans will not look, I’m one of them.”

Filming for the original HBO series will start this summer. The show is planned as a faithful adaptation of books, each season covering one novel in the series.
