Manchester United Manager Ruben officially transformed the club core and introduced a fresh group of captains before the season 2025–26. In a recent interview with Athletic Amori, Amori confirmed that the new group management will include Bruno Fernandes, Harry Maguire, Lisandro Martinez, Diogo Dalot, Tom Heaton and the new arrival of Noussair Mazraoui.
This movement means a significant shift in how the club works from the playground. Rather than sticking to the only structure of Captain-Vice, Amorim chose a more democratic model-ten, whom they believe that after the catastrophic season 2024–25 will help restore the competitive advantage of United. United has completed a shocking 16th place in the Premier League and lost the UEFA Europa League finals the Tottenham Hotspur finals and left them trophyless for the next season.
“Now we have a leading group,” AMORIM Athletic said. “It’s not just Bruno Fernandes. It’s not just Harry Maguire. Now it’s six boys. They’re responsible for the group. There are things I had to deal with in the last year:” You’ll deal with that. “Small problems are with you.
Amorim chose Mazraoui as an example of how the leadership may not only come from seniority. “So it’s not just the oldest, Nous is in the group, because he’s a character I like,” he added. “I try to understand the dynamics of the group, try to achieve every space. They are boys who are responsible for maintaining everyone in a row.”
For Harry Maguire, this means a significant personal return. The center, which undressed from the bracelet during the possession of Erika, after falling in the form, the center was quietly fought for a journey back into formation last season. Despite the bad campaign United Maguire, he excelled as one of the few consistent artists in defense and returned the confidence of the manager and his teammates.
With the ongoing revision of the summer team-the new signatures such as Bryan Mbeumo of Brentford and Matheus Cunha of Wolves, and the interest in Slovenian striker Benjamin Sesko-will play a major role in leading the fresh united party for a more stable season.
Amorim thought about his rocky start in Old Trafford and also talked to the BBC about his long -term ambitions. “I really believe in it – it’s my goal,” he said, asking about a long -distance stay in United. “I know I used all the credit last season. We’re moving forward now.”
Manchester United will face Everton another in the Premier League Summer Series Friendlies when August 17 increases preparations for his Opener of the League against Arsenal.
