The two strikes took the Real Madrid midfielder to six goals at the 2026 World Cup, equaling captain Harry Kane’s tally. The pair have now become the first teammates from the same country to score at least six goals each in a single World Cup, setting a new benchmark for the tournament.Bellingham’s latest heroics came after he also struck twice in England’s round of 16 win over Mexico. He is now third in the tournament’s scoring table alongside Kane, trailing only Norway’s Erling Haaland with seven goals and leaders Lionel Messi of Argentina and Kylian MbappĂ© of France, who each have eight.England fell behind in the 36th minute after Andreas Schjelderup put Norway ahead. However, Bellingham responded before halftime to restore parity before producing the winner early in overtime. The win also ended Haaland’s streak of scoring in every game at the tournament, with England’s defense keeping the prolific forward off the scoresheet for the first time.England are now one win away from reaching their first World Cup final since 1966. Thomas Tuchel’s side will face Argentina in the semi-finals after the defending champions beat Switzerland later on Saturday.
