
India Captain Harmanpreet Kaur focused on achieving the world of the World Cup at home because India is ready to host the women’s cricket Championship of ICC 2025 from September 30, 2025.
India approached the World Cup victory twice when they reached the final of the tournament in 2005 and 2017. However, they lost the final on both occasions. With the upcoming event just 50 days away, Captain Harmanpreet Kaur said that the team is determined to break the barrier in the upcoming edition and do something special for the country.
“We want to break the barrier that all Indians are waiting for. World cups are always strange, they always want strange for my country.
Before the first accessories of the tournament against Sri Lanka 30 September, India will play a series of three matches against Australia from September 14. Harmanpreet said that playing against defending champions will serve as a perfect preparation that will increase their trust.
“Playing against Australia is always difficult and we will introduce our position. The series (three ODIS vs Australia) will give us great confidence. We have made great efforts in our training camps and show the results,” HarmanPreet said.
Harmanpreet also remembered her iconic unsurpassed 171-running knocking against Australia in the semifinals of the Edition 2017 and called it a decisive moment for her and the whole female cricket.
“The knocking was something special for me and cricket of all women. After knocking, many things have changed for me. When we returned to India, even though we lost, many people waited for us and encouraged.
