HYDERABAD
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader T. Harish Rao criticized the state government for its failure to end farmers’ woes in getting supply of urea, despite high demands to streamline supply by introducing a mobile app to book urea in advance and get it hassle-free.
In a statement, Mr. Harish Rao said on Friday that the urea problem arose at the beginning of the Rabi season itself and will become more complex as the season progresses. Farmers in several districts were forced to wait in queues since early morning in severe cold. He said the government introduced the mobile app only to cover up its shortages in urea supply. He claimed that the government failed to learn from the experience of the Kharif season.
