Former Indian spinner and commentator Harbhajan Singh has gracefully responded to a fan’s critique of the Hindi commentary during the ongoing Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025). The fan expressed dissatisfaction through a social media video, highlighting that earlier commentators like Maninder Singh and Arun Lal provided deeper insights into the game. In contrast, the current panel seems to focus more on witty remarks and one-liners, making it difficult for fans to stay engaged.
The fan urged the commentators to improve their Hindi delivery. After the video went viral, Harbhajan Singh acknowledged the feedback positively and assured improvements. He replied to the fan, saying, “Thank you for the input. We will work on it.”
The Hindi commentary panel for IPL 2025 includes several cricket legends such as Virender Sehwag, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Shikhar Dhawan, Suresh Raina, Mohammad Kaif, Piyush Chawla, RP Singh, Pragyan Ojha, Sanjay Manjrekar, Sanjay Bangar, Varun Aaron, Sunil Gavaskar, Ajay Jadeja, Jatin Sapru, Anant Tyagi, Saba Karim, Deep Dasgupta, and Aakash Chopra.
119 sixes have already been smashed in the first five matches of the IPL 2025 season. The latest thrilling encounter saw Punjab Kings edge out Gujarat Titans by 11 runs in a high-scoring game at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Punjab Kings vs Gujarat Titans Match Highlight
Chasing a massive target of 244, Gujarat Titans put up a valiant effort but fell short, finishing at 232/5. Sai Sudharsan led the charge with a brilliant 74, supported by Jos Buttler (54) and Shubman Gill (33). Sherfane Rutherford’s explosive 46 kept the Titans in the hunt, but Punjab’s bowlers maintained their composure to secure the win.
Arshdeep Singh was the standout bowler, claiming two crucial wickets. Earlier, Punjab Kings posted a formidable 243/5, thanks to Shreyas Iyer’s unbeaten 97 off 42 balls, including nine sixes and five fours. Shashank Singh also contributed a fiery 44* off 16 balls.
After the match, GT skipper Shubman Gill acknowledged the challenges, saying, “It’s not easy, you know, coming in as an impact player and delivering those yorkers. It’s never easy for someone who’s been on the bench for almost 15 overs. But I think credit to them, the way they bowled yorkers.”
The next IPL 2025 match will feature Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders facing off in Guwahati on March 26. Both teams are looking to secure their first win of the season after losing their opening games to SRH and RCB, respectively.
