The Ministry of Handloom and Textile has proposed to modernize the Lepakshi sales centers throughout the state to effectively show the essence of traditional crafts.
Special Secretary (Handloom and Textile) of RP Sisodia chaired the audit meeting on Friday, said modern designs for Lepakshi showrooms were developed in cooperation with School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), Vijayawad.
Mr. Sisodia, together with SPA representatives, reviewed new designs for various showrooms, including the one who was set up in Nový Delhi. He said that these showrooms will reflect the rich history of Andhra Pradesh, crafts, manual points and the essence of Telugu culture. He also discussed the showroom designs, which was designed at Rajamahendraram Airport and the construction of a new showroom in Tirupati.
Mr. Sisodia said that although Lepakshi, ran as organizations, some individual showrooms arose losses. Interested with the showroom leaders ordered to identify the causes of the insufficient performance of their relevant units and asked them to seek profitability.
He visited the main exhibition center in the lepakshi headquarters, where Vishwa CEO informed him about the origin of works of art and craftsmen who created them. Mr. Sisodia emphasized the importance of an attractive packaging for effective marketing.
The meeting was attended by the head of the Department of Architecture, Lázně, Vijayawada, D. Srinivas, Assistant, Ministry of Architecture, Spa T. Madhava Rao and showroom managers.
