Gaza-Israeli War: Muhammad Sinwara’s body, head of Hamas, who took over the command of a militant group in Gaza after his brother Yahy Sinwar last year, was reportedly found in the tunnel affected by Israeli defensive forces (IDF).
“Based on all signs, Mohammed Sinwar was killed on a strike made on the European Hospital in Khan Youenis,” Defense Minister Israel said when he spoke with MEPs.
It should be noted that Israel has not confirmed death or Muhammad Sinwara. According to the Saudi channel Al-Hadath, Sinwar’s body was restored along with the remnants of 10 of its helpers.
The report said there was evidence that the commander of the Rafah brigade in Hamas’s military wing Mohammad Shabana was also killed on a strike.

The discovery comes in the middle of the ongoing intensive military operations in the Gaza Strip, where the Israeli forces continue to target Hamas’s infrastructure and lead in response to a lengthy conflict.
Muhammad Sinwar, who took over the leadership of Hamas’s military wing and political command in Gaza after killing Yahya in October 2024, was considered one of the most influential persons in the organization.

Who is Muhammad Sinwar?
Muhammad Ibrahim Hassan Sinwar was born in 1975 in the Khan Yunis refugee camp in Gaza and has grown over the Hamas series over a few decades. Sinwar, nicknamed Shadow “by Israeli officials for his secret nature, has long been a key strategist and military commander in the group.
He was involved in the kidnapping of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalita from 2006, a high -ranking operation that led to an agreement on the exchange of prisoners in 2011.

Muhammad Sinwar spent many years in Israeli and Palestinian prisons during the 90’s and early 2000 and developed close ties with Hamas.
After the death of his brother Yahya Sinwar, who was considered an architect of the deadly attacks Hamas on Israel in October 2023, was taken over by Muhammad Sinwar.
Under the command of Muhammad Sinwara Hamas, he intensified recruitment efforts and escalated attacks against Israeli forces, despite the serious Israeli military pressure.

The death of Yahya sinwar
Yahya Sinwar, the head of Hamas in Gaza and one of the key architects for deadly attacks on October 7, 2023, killed Israeli forces on October 16, 2024 during the firefighting lane in South Gaza.
Yahya Sinwar, who got up in the ranks of Hamas after spent more than two decades in Israeli prisons, was known for his merciless leadership and strategic sharply.

His death was confirmed by DNA verification and dental record verification after his body was found in Rafah, with more injuries, including a fatal gunshot wound in the head.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described Sinwar’s killing as an important blow to Hamas, although he warned that the conflict would continue with full force.
Hamas recognized his death and depicted him as a symbol of defiance and promised to continue his fight.
