Hundreds of Palestinians were published on the streets of Gaza against Hamas after more than a year of Israeli strikes on their territory and demanded the end of the war. They sang, “For God’s sake, Hamas will perform!”.
“Out, outdoors, out, Hamas will perform,” sung those who saw on one of the posts published on X. Protests were reportedly held in the Beit Lahiya area in Gaza.
Photographs of protest on social media have shown people with banners-which are “stop War”, “we refuse to die” and “our children’s blood is not cheap”-it walks on the dusty street in the middle of war buildings.
One said, “It was a spontaneous assembly against the war because people are tired and have no place they should.
The rare show of disagreement against the militant group of Hamas has triggered the reaction of Israel PM Netanyahu, which continued in Gazan and stated that the decision to launch strikes in Gaza “works”.
“We are sick of bombing, killing and displacement,” Ap one of Ammar Hassana quoted. “The protests will not stop (Israeli) occupation, but it can affect Hamas.”
The militant group brutally suppressed past protests. This time, however, there was no clear intervention – perhaps because Hamas maintains a lower profile because Israel continued his insult against him.
The protests came a week after Israel ended the ceasefire and started heavy strikes in Gaza and killed hundreds. Israel demanded the release of all hostages of Hamas captivity.
Israel pledged to escalate the war until Hamas returned 59 hostages that still hold – 24 of them believed he was alive. Israel also requires the group to surrender power, disarm and send its leaders to exile.
Hamas said he would release the remaining prisoners only in exchange for Palestinian prisoners, permanent ceasefire and Israeli withdrawal from Gaza.
