
In a disturbing turn of events, two separate tragedies were reported from the outskirts of Delhi Gurugram.
In the first incident, a private company manager reportedly plunged to his death from the eighth floor of his office building in Sector 49, while in the second incident, a 26-year-old professional woman. found dead at his residence at GLS Society on Sohna’s Damdama Road.
In the first case, local authorities identified the deceased as 34-year-old Varun Shankar, a native of Bengaluru, who held a managerial role at a firm near Spaze IT Park.

Police reports indicate that at around 4 am on Tuesday, Shankar allegedly jumped from the eighth-floor balcony, resulting in his instant death. No formal explanation or suicide note was found at the scene.
Officials from the Sector 50 police station arrived shortly after being alerted to the situation. They secured the place and took the body to the morgue for further examination. Investigators are currently notifying Shankar’s family and questioning his colleagues to understand his final hours.
The police are also examining his mobile phone records and examining CCTV footage from the office building.
“We are examining the CCTV footage installed in the deceased’s office. The post-mortem will be conducted only after the family members reach Gurugram. Further action will be taken based on the facts that emerge in the case,” said Inspector Sukhbir, Station House Officer, Sector 50 police station. PTI message.

A woman kills herself
In Sohna, a 26-year-old woman named Kiran reportedly took her own life at GLS Society Complex. Her body was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her apartment. Similar to the first incident, law enforcement confirmed that no suicide note was present at the scene.
Hailing from Faridabad’s Dabua Colony, Kiran was employed by an international firm based in Rozka Meo Industrial Area. She shared a flat in Tower 4 with her brother Akash, who is also a private sector employee. The siblings are said to have attended the wedding on Sunday. After returning, Kiran retired to her room; however, when her brother checked on her at 8:00 a.m. the next morning, he discovered her body and immediately contacted the police.
Nepalese woman found hanging in PG accommodation in Gurugram
A woman – a resident of Nepal – who had recently arrived in Gurugram, allegedly committed suicide at a Paying Guest (PG) accommodation in Gurugram’s Badshahpur police station area, an official said on Saturday.
According to the police, the body was found hanging from the ceiling fan at the PG facility on Fazilpur Road.
No suicide note was found at the scene, the official said, adding that the body has been taken into custody and taken to the mortuary and the family of the deceased has been informed.
The deceased – identified as Kalpana (23), a resident of Nepal – had rented a room in a PG in Badshahpur area on February 2, police said.
The owner of the PG informed the police on Friday that the woman had allegedly hanged herself, after which a police team reached the spot and found the door locked from inside.
