After a fatal accident, which requested the life of a daily work worker on Tuesday, Guntur Municipal Corporation (GMC) takes solid steps to strengthen the security measures of workers. Commissioner GMC Puli Srinivasul announced that he will convene meetings with all suppliers of civic work associated with the civic authority to repeat compulsory security protocols for ongoing and upcoming development projects.
On Wednesday, in an interview with Hindu, Mr. Srinivasul stressed that strict security measures have already been prescribed to all suppliers during the offerings. “We have clearly outlined security protocols that suppliers must comply with, and again emphasize their importance at the upcoming meeting, which is likely to be held on Thursday,” he said. The Commissioner also revealed further measures: “In addition to enforcing security measures, GMC will require suppliers to provide life insurance for each worker before they are involved in any project related activities.”
Meanwhile, there was a condolence meeting in the GMC office in honor of THOTA APARAO, a daily work worker who lost his life when the permissions of the insufficient construction collapsed in the city. During the assembly, the mayor of Guntur Kovelamudi Ravindra, the commissioner of the Srinivasulus and the Guntur West Mla Gallla Madhavi handed over the £ 5 £ Lakh control through the project supplier. Mr. Ravindra expanded his sincere condolences and assured the family of comprehensive support for the civic body. “We are standing with the Mr. Apparao family in this difficult time and all necessary assistance will be provided,” he said.
