Guntur Municipal Corporation (GMC) ensured the highest position in the state hygienic survey Andhra Pradesh carried out through the interactive voice response system (IVRS). Commissioner Puli Srinivasulu announced on Monday that nine GMC Secretariats ranked among the best 20 states for efficient waste collection, early garbage will and drain maintenance.
He attributed reforms such as the division of 57 departments into individual hygienic divisions, the assignment of reserved inspectors and the deployment of exclusive tractors as steps for maintenance of a clean city. Other workers were involved in areas susceptible to problems and modern measures, such as RFID marking and room control room, are planned to further strengthen services, he added.
