Jos Buttler achieved another remarkable milestone in his famous T20 career and became the first English body to complete 4,000 Runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL). It achieved this memory in the 51 IPL 2025 season against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Ahmedabad and after an exceeding 12,500 T20 runs at the beginning of this season added more feathers.
Buttler now stands as the third fastest dough (when it comes to the balls facing) to reach 4,000 IPL is running a milestone, watching only two legends of play-chris gayle and ab de villiers. The fastest doughs for 4,000 IPL runs (faced with balls) are as follows:
Chris Gayle – 2658 balls
Ab de villiers – 2658 balls
Jos Buttler – 2677 Balls
Suryakumar Yadav – 2714 balls
Buttler entered the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad and needed only 12 runs to reach a milestone. After doing so in his 117. IPL, Buttler has now accumulated more than 4,000 runs from 116 shifts, with an average of almost 150 and a strike of nearly 150. His career IPL also boasts 7 centuries and 23rd 193rd.
Buttler’s journey IPL started with the Indians in Mumbai, where he played 24 games and scored 527 runs on average 25.09. Despite the relatively low average, its strike over 145 presented its aggressive approach to the game.
But it was his transfer to Rajasthan Royals, who saw how he really was doing. In 83 matches for RR scored Buttler impressive 3,055 runs on average 41.84. He struck 18 fifties and 7 centuries, with a remarkable striking rate of 147.79 and firmly established himself as one of the most distinctive dough of the league.
After Rajasthan Royals released him last year, Gujarat Titans secured his services in the auction. Buttler, who played for Gujarat Titans, continued his exceptional form and accumulated more than 418 runs in IPL 2025.
