In the terrifying turnover of events, a man who was believed to be dead, and whose body was cremated by his family in a grrogram, surprisingly returned two days later and left his relatives and authorities confused. A 47-year-old man, identified as Pojan Prasad, lived with his wife and three sons in Mohammadpur Jharsa, sector-36 from the Grrabram.
How did Poojan disappear?
Poojan, a supplier of work, disappeared for several days at the end of August, which made his family to file a police complaint 1 September.
Meanwhile, the police reported to Poojan’s son Sandeep Kumar about the body, which recovered 28th August from the neighboring area – just 1.5 km from the Pooji House.
In a government morgue, Sandeep watched what he described as “similarities” after the police showed him the body.
“The mark had an injury on the right leg. By the way, the body also had a similar look of the shirt and pants. It assured me that there was a brand of injury on my right leg that was similar to my father,” Hindustan Times said.

Kumar reportedly told the police that he was his father and also informed his family.
Was the body brutally murdered?
The autopsy confirmed that the body was brutally murdered – the head was interrupted and the remains were crippled by stray animals.
The news plunged the family into shock and sorrow, with Poojan’s wife Laxminiya fainted. On the day of the ceremonies, neighbors and relatives gathered, and Pojan was creped on Tuesday to Crhemation Ground Ram Bagh.
How did the family discover Pojan alive?
His sons made the last ceremonies and even went to Delhi on Wednesday to immerse the ashes in Yamuna. But in the middle of the road they got a call.
Their mother’s uncle, Rahul Prasad, saw Poojana alive at the Chowk Labor in Khandsa. Rahul first thought “hallucinations”. He stepped out of his authorickshaw and realized it was really his brother -in -law. Rahul grabbed him behind his wrist and pulled him into the car and rushed him home.
When Sandeep and his older brother Aman returned, they found that their father was sitting on the bed. They broke in tears. Laxminiya froze as she saw her husband at the door. “I thought I was hallucinations. I fainted. When I woke up and realized it was alive, I cried again,” HT quoted her.

His wife Laxminiya, accustomed to his drink and long absence, admitted that this suffering broke her. “Even though he bothers me, it was my Suhaag. I thought I lost him forever. Seeing him alive is like himself,” she said.
What happens now about the murder investigation?
The police, equally shocked, plunged into the family house. Poojan explained that he was traveling for days, slept on Chowks and construction sites, too drunk and indifferent to return home. His story signed off.
This revelation pushed the investigator back to Square One – the man was indeed murdered and beheaded. DNA samples retained during autopsy will now be tested to determine the identity of the victim.

“Once the identity of the deceased is detected, it does not take time to break the murder. But when identification is delayed, the investigation can pull,” said Sandeep Turan, police officer for public relations.
Since then, police have filed a case of murder against unknown persons at the Sector-37 police station. “According to the procedure, the samples of the bottom of the body have been maintained for agreement that will be used to identify identity after the police find out who was the deceased.
