The tension clasped the leadership and the surrounding mandates in the Chittoor district in Andhra Pradesh, after the unidentified persons vandalized and set on the statue of the Ambian in the Village of Dealampheta in the first hours of Friday (October 3).
According to reports, Miscreants poured gasoline on the statue, pedestal and surrounding iron bars before they lit it. The villagers who noticed the fire threw themselves into the place and tried to mix the flames.
Immediately after the incident, they organized hundreds of villagers from nearby Hamlets Protests on the road. Operation on rural roads towards Puttura, Pallipatt and Kothapallimitta was disturbed when the angry demonstrators resorted to Rasta-Caros and demanded immediate arrests of the responsible.

The Sumit Kumar District Collector and the Tushar Dudi Police Superintendant visited the Dealammet and convened a meeting with the elders and attracted peace. SP (Nagari) Syed Muhammad Azis told Hindu that the case was registered over vandalism. “We assured the villagers that the culprits would soon be arrested. We question the suspects and verify the CCTV shots at all vital intersections on the site of crime and its surroundings. Based on the collector’s orders, the new statue of Ambedkar will be installed in the village.
