On Friday (October 3), part of the farmers and residents in Mukkom, Kozhikode, on Friday (October 3) launched, and protested against the alleged negligence of the municipality in solving the wilderness threat. The protest began around 15:00 in front of the Mukkom Municipal Office.
The protesters who carried the samples of damaged crops argued that despite the government’s order allowing to spend wild coats in the region, the civic body could not create a specific action plan. Many of them completed their morning farmer before gathering in the municipal office to start the strike.
They said that agitation would continue until the municipal authorities submit a special request to the district collector looking for more shooters’ licenses. In addition to the widespread crop loss, the protesters said that the uncontrolled population of wild advice also represented serious safety threats for residents.
