Development of the temple
He later told the media that a committee has been constituted to investigate all aspects of the incident. “Though the efforts of Trustee Hari Mukund Panda in building the temple are commendable, the disregard for the safety of devotees on Karteeka Ekadashi has caused immense agony to many,” said Mr. Ramanarayana Reddy, assuring that the government would take steps to develop the temple after taking the opinion of Agama Shastra experts.
He further said that there would be no darshan of the presiding deity in the temple for several weeks. “As per the temple traditions, special rituals as per Agama Shastra will be performed for the devotees before reopening the temple,” he added.
