Seed Ganeshas was distributed by the founder of Green India Challenge (GIC) and a former Santosh Kumar Joginapally MP dedicated to Hyderabad on Saturday.
As a symbol of the tradition and protection of the environment, former deputy Rajya Sabha and Green India Challenge (GIC) founder JoginaPally Santosh Kumar, along with producer actor Telugu Nara Rohith, revealed the ecological seed of Ganesha Idols.
Mr. Santosh Kumar introduced idols to the devotees and employees in the Swarnagiri temple. With the Ganesh Chaturthi around the corner, the aim of the initiative is to distribute 5,000 seeds of Ganesha idols for free.
Each idol is made of natural clay, coconut and coconut powder and is built into native trees such as Neem and Tamarind. After rituals, idols can be immersed in the soil, allowing the seeds to emerge into seedlings that can later be transplanted into houses, parks and public spaces and create permanent green heritage.
“In today’s era of pollution and ecological stress, planting and care for trees is not a choice, but a necessity. The Ganesha seed initiative beautifully mixes spirituality with sustainability,” he said in a statement.
Over the years, GIC has been distributed annually by 1.5 Lakh Seeds of Ganesha Idoles and this year it focuses on achieving 5 lakh idols and spreading the message of sustainability far and wide.
