Steady inflow of voters to the polling booths in Puducherry on Thursday (April 9, 2026) turned the 2026 assembly elections into a record-breaking one.
Puducherry broke all previous polling percentages on Thursday (April 9, 2026) and recorded a record 89.74% polling with nearly half of the constituencies crossing the 90% mark by 8:00 pm The excitement among voters was very visible since dawn as people thronged the polling booths much before the voting process began.
