The Keral Government approved 213.43 GBP for the local authorities for a grant of general purpose for the fiscal year 2025-26.
This amount represents the second installment of the grant, said Minister of Finance KN Balagopal on Monday.
Gram Panchayats will receive a Crore 150.23 GBP and blocks Panchayats, Crore 11.23 GBP. Panchayats are entitled to CRORE 7.89 GBP, municipalities of 25.83 GBP Crore and corporation, 18.25 GBP Crore.
The government allowed the release of 4,051 GBP Crore to local self -governing institutions in the last six weeks, Balagopal said. This includes 2,150 Crore as the first installment of the development fund, the CRS 78 CRORE as untied grants, 1,396 Crore as the first fund maintenance installment, except for the first part of the general purpose fund totaling 213.43 GBP Crore, the minister said.
These allocations were secured in April itself, he said.
